It was a fast and furious #VFSC Emmy coverage! Flying in the morning of the Emmy’s, one of my closest friends picked me up at the airport and went with me to get ready. I have the most amazing LA team and family! We went to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel to quickly get ready. The event had already begun when my plane landed, so this truly was the fastest pace ever, attempting to beat the clock! Once I was ready, we took a fun pic on the famed “Julia Roberts – Pretty woman” stairs. As I arrived at We Work Hollywood, we had a panel with Your tube’s famed beauty Vlogers: Amada Steel and Lauren Elizabeth, on the topic of “How Social Influences Beauty and Fashion Now.” The ladies shared the importance of being true to you, and to be authentic. Your audience knows if you are feeling authentic in the words and brands you are sharing, so to choose carefully. Simple words of wisdom yet effective enough that these ladies have build 6 figure brands on leading with the heart vs. the check book! Kudos to their girl power! Of course, Vanity Fair always takes care of us with amazing sponsors such as Brooks Brothers and Viktor & Rolf, including the #FlowerBomb selfie bed of roses! The lovely social muse, Maiah Ocando, was our hostess of the evening! We enjoyed the banter that only Ricky Gervais can offer and enjoyed the girl power of Tina Fey, Amy Schumer and Amy Poehler, having a fun filled evening of Emmy recipients.
The following day, we had a media event at Vincenti restaurant in Santa Monica - true family Italian food with a huge celeb cult following. It was one beautiful dish after another. It was a room of Emmy winners and award winning food! It was an amazing way to come off such a quick high intensity work end! If you ever are in LA and want to visit the ocean, San Pedro is so lovely and the views are breath taking. I suggest The Corner Store for your favorite latte and then go exploring the cliff and oceanside view. Along that way, you are guaranteed to see a family of peacocks or two crossing the street. They are part of the appeal in San Pedro. It was then time to bid adieu, until the next pink adventure! Pink Dreams! XO Jen Shoes by Guilhermina North America
